A lot of fun stuff is happening in TunaLand. We’ve been having a ball, playing shows with a bunch of cool bands such as A Simple Complex, The Evil Streaks, Chris Emery, and Drifting Son. Some of these shows were recorded, one of which is available over atwebhat. The show was recorded, engineered, etc. by Mitch Bosse and Christine Zombik, two very cool and talented people. If I did this right, the picture below should link you to the album. Nope, I don’t know what I’m doing. Just click the blue letters above the image.
And what an image, eh? All our faces right up in there! That’s the fine work of Dan McDermott, the guy behind Headhat Records. Both our names are in the credits, but he really does all the work. I’m just all like, that sounds awesome!
What else is going on? Oh, the time tour we went on was a lot of fun, though full of… chaos. There will be more on our time traveling misadventures in the near future in a documentary by Todd Lajoie. Time travel is weird. Todd filmed the movie, but he hasn’t started yet. It’s complicated, but there will be a live album to go along with that.
We’re prepping for the first studio record, which is going to be all sorts of awesome. Antics will ensue, records will be made.
After all that nonsense is out of the way, we’ll be back in da clubs, causing involuntary head bobs and such. Maybe we should do a record release party? How about at a zoo?! That would be awesome. Do you think a zoo would let us perform? I’ll have to look into that.
At any rate, 2011 is looking good, and we want you to be a part of it. Make sure you’ve liked us on the facebook, nobody cares about myspace, but we’re still there, and check out the Reverb Nation page.
Friday’s show at The Factory turned into a Headhat promo-fest. Tom, Dan, and I performed as a Tuna Fish Discrepancy/Wettron hybrid performing songs from Old Haunts and the new Wettron E.P. That Means You, Todd. Click on the blue words to download these releases for FREE! You can also find releases from the LeVautour Ensemble and Adhesiveslipper, and new noise to put in your ears every week. Download. Donate (if you’re cool like that). Tell your friends. Tell your mom.
p.s. Be sure to check out The Attic Bits. Those guys are super cool and make crazy music.
